Steven Kinser has more than 50 years of experience in martial arts training and instruction. A 5th Degree Black Belt in Judo-Jujitsu through the Bushidokan Martial Arts System, he has led programs in multiple schools and conducted numerous self-defense seminars. Steven is known for his practical, safety-first approach, emphasizing awareness, confidence, and smart decision-making. His goal is to equip students with skills that build both personal safety and self-confidence.
This course focuses on awareness, confidence, and practical safety skills.
The course is divided into two phases:
Phase 1: Attitude & Awareness
Students learn the philosophy of personal safety - recognizing risk, developing awareness, and making proactive decisions.
Phase 2: Physical Defense Techniques
Students learn simple, practical “hit and get” strategies designed for safety - not prolonged fighting.
The emphasis is confidence, boundaries, and smart decision-making.
